What's an appropriate evaluation? Before receiving special education services, it's required that your child have an appropriate evaluation. IDEA requires that all assessments be nondiscriminatory and all procedures be nonbiased. There must be a variety of assessment tools and strategies performed in order to have an appropriate evaluation.
